Janes, located in the north area of Racine, in the older downtown lakefront and historic and industrial center of Racine. Janes was the first school in Wisconsin to offer year-round education. Students attend school for 60 days and then have vacation for 20 days. Janes offers a bilingual program for K-grade 5, and its PreK to Grade 5 program is a unique approach to addressing educational needs of economically disadvantaged elementary students.
